When I was growing up in China, we did not talk about money at home. Money was there, but was never a topic.
Later, as a young adult, I came to Australia to pursue my Master’s degree with little money and zero financial knowledge, but with a dream of a life of a higher quality. I studied hard and worked hard to support myself.
Money was merely a tool for survival.

Eventually, I became an analyst in financial services. But when I realised there would be no guaranteed pension on retirement, I decided to educate myself about what money really is and how to use it wisely to create a better life for myself and family.

I convinced my husband to join me on the journey to financial stability, and we have since built a multi-million dollar investment portfolio.

I started to feel aimless, so I tried different paths. I took a career sabbatical from my corporate role, worked part time, tried more active investment method, read numerous self-development books, hoping to find my passion, but with no success.
One day it dawned on me that I was merely working for the nice paycheck, and money became a source of stress to me.
I knew it was time to change.
